I am Nishant Behera, a Ph.D. scholar in the Environmental Science and Engineering Department (ESED) at IIT Bombay, where my research focuses on air quality forecasting. My work combines machine learning techniques with advanced chemical transport models to predict air quality in real time, aiming to enhance environmental monitoring and protect public health. Through my research, I am exploring how these models can be applied to predict the concentrations of air pollutants under varying atmospheric conditions. This interdisciplinary approach blends data-driven methodologies with physical models to comprehensively understand air pollution dynamics. Additionally, I am engaged in projects related to air pollution control, environmental sustainability, and the design of engineering systems that mitigate environmental impacts.
